Purpose of Position

The Assistant Director of Processing Services supervises the Application Synergy Team who is responsible for processing Undergraduate and Graduate applications for admissions (19,000+ annually).

Primary Responsibilities

• Leads the Application Synergy Team (undergraduate and graduate application processing) with direction from the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and the Director of Graduate Education.
• Supervises Admissions Processing Specialists.
• Develops training materials to ensure quality control is in place.
• Trains all new Office of Admissions staff members on SAP, admissions policies/procedures and admissions requirements.
• Responsible for weekly application statistical reporting.
• Coordinates top level data reports for Director of Admissions, AVP for Enrollment and Financial Assistance and VP for Enrollment and Degree Management.
• Works in conjunction with the Office of Information Technology to support the online application for admissions.
• Oversees admit and denial process of undergraduate applicants.
• Responsible for all processing and refunding of application and confirmation fees.
• Responsible for all correspondence to applicants and admits.
• Oversees the Application and Enrollment Waiver process in conjunction with the Director of Admissions.
• Coordinates the Early Scheduling Survey process for newly admitted freshmen.
• Provides university catalog updates.
• Serves as the liaison with the Office of the Registrar, and New Student Orientation.


• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of three years related experience required.
• Experience utilizing an Information System, in a higher education system is preferred.
• Development of analytic reporting using Excel and Access.
• Excellent communication and management/supervision skills, administrative system implementation experience, strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Superior customer service experience. Extremely detail orientated, diplomatic with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prepare and deliver professional presentations.
• Must have ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions in an often-high volume work environment.
