Purpose of Position

Ensure institutional compliance with Clery and Minger Acts, manage University Police records in accordance with established practices and standards, provide support to ensure effective, efficient day-to-day departmental operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Clery and Minger Act compliance;

Management of police, employment, and routine office records;

Administrative support for the police department and approximately two dozen staff;

Other duties as assigned.


Working knowledge of Clery and Minger Acts.

Working knowledge of Kentucky Open Records Act.

Experience with CAD/RMS systems (CESI ReportExec preferred).

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office.

Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

Expert organizational and time management skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal Clery Act compliance training.

Certification as a telecommunicator in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Proficiency with SAP.

Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree
