Purpose of Position

The Associate Director of the Office of Student Financial Assistance provides daily leadership to the Office of Student Financial Assistance, works closely with the financial aid team to ensure accurate and efficient service is provided to students, parents and the campus community while adhering to federal, state and institutional rules and regulations to ensure compliance. The Associate Director has 6 direct reports and a total team of 15.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains the financial aid student Information system (SIGMA)
• Ensures that the office front desk and telephones are adequately staffed
• Provides leadership to maintaining the office Web site
• Updates financial aid publications
• Provides statistical financial aid data for completion of surveys
• Ensures that outstanding service is provided to students, parents and the university community
• Provides oversight to student aid programs (federal, state and institutional)
• Serves as a member of the financial aid senior management team.


Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years related experience.

Experience working in a higher education environment preferred.

Managerial experience preferred.
