Job Description

This is a para-professional position serving as an expert in academic success skills and time management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Model successful student behaviors
• Assist students with academic concerns/schedules/study behaviors/computer use and other concerns
• Assist students in accessing resources on campus
• Assist Support Coaches with student contacts and communications
• Assist in planning SSS social/cultural events
• Act as back up for Administrative Specialist
• Other duties as assigned


• Current full-time SSS participant with at least 30 completed hours and 3.0 GPA
• Skilled in applying academic success skills and time management skills
• Organized, energetic, motivated and dependable
• Knowledgeable of university academic resources
• Ability to work independently
• Committed to assisting participants in accessing and utilizing academic resources
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Receptive to supervision
• Competent in Microsoft Office
